How long does it take to design a website?

Of course, that depends on the size and complexity of the site. If you go to the Fitness Solutions website, which is fairly large and complex and includes a online store, that site's basic layout was completed in a weekend. It took another week to tweak the contents and the layout to the satisfaction of the customer (my wife Sonya). It also depends on how fast I receive guidance and supporting files from the customer.

How do you design a website?

I basically sit down with the customer and try to get an idea for the desired "feel" of the project. Once I have a basic idea, I will rough-out a basic design and present it to the customer for approval. I then sit down in front of my trusty Mac and grind through the details using Rapidweaver. It is a very iterative process and will continue until the customer is happy with the site.

How many employees do you have?

Just one - ME! That way I can do all the work and take all the credit:-). I am a one-man show and prefer to keep it that way. This is more-or-less a hobby for me that I do for enjoyment.

How much does it cost?

There are a few costs associated with publishing a website and I can help you out with all of them. First, you have to have a domain name (for example http://www.alphastrikedesign.com). This will be the address for your site. It usually costs around $10/year to reserve and use a domain. Additionally, you must have a web service provider (like Powweb or GoDaddy) to actually "publish" your web files to the internet - think of it as the window that folks look through to see your website. This cost varies by ISP but typically runs around $60 per year. The third and most substantial cost is the design of the website itself. You can go as low as $399 with Alpha Strike Design for a fairly simple website with up to 10 pages and no storefront. I will give you a more accurate cost estimate once I discuss your desires with you.
